Organic Fregola Sarda Wheat Pasta with Squid Ink

Product Description

Fregola Sarda is a traditional pasta of Sardinia, originally introduced from North Africa through the southwestern island of San Pietro.  The pasta's name comes from the Latin "fricare", which means to crumble, as it looks like crumbled pasta.  This is the first organic fregola produced in teh provice of Sasarri, Versatile.  Very easy to cook, fregola pasta can be served in a "dry" or "creamy" style.  It is delicious as a side dish or pasta course with condiments from vegetables to seafood broths, to meat ragus.

Cooking time: 8-10 minutes, or to desired consistency.  Cook in boiling salted water or cook like risotto in a broth (cooking time approximately 10 minutes)

Organic durum wheat semolina, squid ink 1.5%, water.  This product contains wheat and packaged in a facility that also handles milk, molluscs (squid) and tree nuts.
